My name is Chris Smith and I run Kluster, a production & recording studio based in Limehouse, East London.

I'm a music producer, recording & mix engineer and play bass, currently with Spoilers and Eddie The Wheel

I've been told I'm super patient and easy going. I enjoy working collaboratively.

I prefer intuition and performance over 'perfect' precision and love combining live performance with creative studio processing.

I primarily work out of Kluster but often work from other studios.

I'm happy working across all styles and genres.  Some of my previous clients include Big Joanie, Charmpit, Rozi Plain, Bas Jan, Dream Nails, Militant Girlfriend, Klein, Es, Factory Seconds, Teenage Caveman, Bamboo, Jean K, Curved Air, Qu Junktions, and Lost Map Records.

I also produce music and mix audio for film and video. I've worked for agencies and production companies such as Google, Havas, Awesome Films, Kloss Films, BBC & The Narrative. You can see some of my work 'here'

Feel free to give me a shout if you have any questions, would like to book the studio or just want to say hello!

At the heart of the studio is a Chilton QM3 ex-broadcast console. These rare desks have a beautiful open sound and very musical EQs.

There is an ever growing selection of outboard, microphones and amps.  Have a look at our gear here

The live room has a focused and up front sound, large enough to track multiple musicians at once. We frequently make use of the concrete halls around the space for more explosive & spacious sounds.
